How do I play a Scene?
Starting a Scene
Find a scene on the Discover page or through a direct link. Click Play to begin a fresh playthrough. You will see the scene's opening narrative and can start interacting immediately.
During Gameplay
You interact with the scene by typing messages. You can:
- Talk to characters — address them by name or speak generally
- Describe actions — write what your character does (e.g.,
I pick up the letter and read it)
- Make choices — when the narrative presents options, respond with your decision
- Ask questions — characters will answer based on their knowledge and role
The AI manages pacing, character responses, and story progression. Each character responds in their own voice and stays consistent with their defined personality.
Replaying Scenes
Every playthrough is independent. You can replay the same scene and get completely different outcomes based on different choices. Your previous playthroughs are saved in your conversation history so you can revisit them.
Tip Try approaching the same scene with different strategies — be aggressive in one playthrough, diplomatic in another. Well-designed scenes reward different play styles with different story paths.
